Warehouse, fleet and documentation joined up, so a shipment has one status
IT for Egyptian logistics, distribution and trading companies — warehouse systems, fleet visibility, customs documentation and multi-site connectivity.
- One statusPer shipment, across every system
- Offline-firstDriver and warehouse apps that survive dead zones
- Per consignmentLanded cost and margin
What we get called about
- A shipment with three different statuses in three different systems
- Warehouse scanning that fails in half the building
- Customs paperwork rebuilt by hand for every consignment
- Deliveries confirmed by phone call and remembered later
- No reliable margin figure per shipment or per client
What we put in place
- Warehouse management
- Warehouse-grade coverage
- Documentation automation
- Proof of delivery
- Shipment profitability
What that looks like in practice
Warehouse management
Locations, put-away, picking and dispatch in Odoo, with handheld scanning so stock is booked as it moves.
Warehouse-grade coverage
Wi-Fi surveyed with the racking loaded and verified in the aisles. Roaming that holds while a forklift crosses the building.
Documentation automation
Commercial invoices, packing lists and customs paperwork generated from the shipment record instead of retyped per consignment.
Proof of delivery
A driver app capturing signature, photo and timestamp, syncing when it finds a signal rather than requiring one.
Shipment profitability
Costs allocated to the consignment — freight, duty, handling, demurrage — so margin is a number rather than an opinion.
One record, one status
The defining problem in logistics IT is not capability. It is reconciliation. The warehouse system says dispatched, the accounts system says not invoiced, the customer service spreadsheet says awaiting documents, and all three are partly right.
The fix is unglamorous: one system of record per fact, with the others reading from it rather than keeping their own copy. Deciding which system owns which fact is most of the work, and it is a business decision more than a technical one.
Offline-first, not offline-tolerant
A warehouse has dead zones. A truck spends hours without signal. Any app that needs connectivity to record an event will be worked around, and the workaround is paper.
So we build the other way: capture locally, queue, sync when a connection appears, resolve conflicts explicitly. The driver never waits for a signal bar, which is the only reason the app gets used.
Documentation is where the hours go
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, customs declaration: mostly the same data, retyped per document, per consignment, by someone senior enough to know the rules.
Generated from the shipment record instead, with the exceptions flagged for a human, this is often the single highest-return automation available to a trading business.
