Why we exist

The gaps between vendors are where outages live

A mid-sized Egyptian company typically runs four technology suppliers: one for the ERP, one for the network, one for the cameras, one for the laptops. Each is competent inside their own box.

Then the stock figures stop reconciling, or the warehouse scanners lose signal, or the backup turns out never to have been restorable — and every supplier can prove the fault is not theirs. They are usually all telling the truth. The failure is in the seams, and nobody owns a seam.

SYSGOT was built to own all four boxes so there is nothing between them. We write the software, implement the ERP, design the network, harden the security and supply the equipment. When something breaks, there is one number, and nobody to blame but us.

That is a harder business to run than a single specialism. It is also the only arrangement where the customer stops being the integrator.

What we are not

We are not the cheapest supplier of any single line, and we are not a body-shop that will supply eight developers with no view on what they should build. If you need a specialist penetration test against a certified methodology, or a niche platform we do not run, we will say so and point you at someone who does.

How we work

Six commitments we are willing to be held to

Each one costs us something. That is why it is worth printing.

  • Look before quoting

No priced proposal until we have seen the systems and talked to the people using them. A quote built on assumptions is a quote that changes later.

  • Recommend the smaller thing

Integration before replacement. Standard configuration before customisation. A repair quoted before a replacement. It costs us the bigger invoice and it is why customers renew.

  • Hand over everything

Source code, diagrams, configuration backups, credentials, runbooks. Another firm could take over next year. We want the next job because we earned it, not because you are stuck.

  • Measure, do not assert

Recovery times we rehearsed. Coverage verified in the aisle. Cost per page at your volume. If a claim cannot be measured we do not make it.

  • Deliver bad news early

A risk surfaces at the review where we first see it, not at the deadline. On fixed-price work, a slip in agreed scope is our cost.

  • Same people, start to finish

The engineers who scoped it build it and support it. There is no handover to an account manager who was not in the room.
